Alpaca Therapeutic Socks
Reliable shipping
Flexible returns
Ideal fit. Therapeutic Construction.
Made from 80% baby alpaca yarn, these socks are designed to protect sensitive feet while promoting natural circulation. Free from seams or constricting edges, they offer relaxed support that won’t irritate—ideal for those managing diabetes or sensitivity.
Ultra-soft baby alpaca fiber is naturally hypoallergenic, antimicrobial, and moisture‑wicking, helping to keep feet comfortable, clean, and dry. Its hollow core insulates for warmth yet remains breathable, preventing overheating and reducing friction that can lead to blisters or sores.
Undyed and unbleached, these socks provide simple comfort for everyday wear—soft, soothing, and made with genuine care.
-
Alpaca fibers naturally resist odor more than many other fibers, so the socks often do not need washing after every single wear unless they are heavily soiled or there is concern about infection.
-
After use, turn them inside out and air them overnight in a dry, shaded place to refresh them between washes.
-
Wash when they are visibly soiled, feel less fresh, or after several wears.
Hand‑washing (preferred)
-
Use cool water (up to about 27–30°C / 80–86°F) and a small amount of wool‑safe or gentle detergent.
-
Soak for a few minutes, then gently press the socks through the water rather than scrubbing or wringing.
-
Rinse in cool water until the water runs clear and no soap remains.
Machine‑washing (if allowed by the care label)
-
Turn socks inside out and place them in a mesh laundry bag.
-
Use a wool or delicate cycle with cold water and a mild, wool‑friendly detergent.
-
Avoid bleach, harsh detergents, and fabric softener, which can coat or damage the fibers.
Drying and storage
-
Never wring or twist alpaca socks; instead, press out water gently between your hands or in a towel.
-
Lay flat on a clean towel or drying rack, reshaping them while damp and keeping them away from direct heat and strong sunlight.
-
Avoid high‑heat drying. If a dryer is used at all, use only an air or very low‑heat setting to reduce the risk of shrinkage and fiber damage.
